They are entirely composed of filtering material, obtained by overlapping different layers and materials. Both the outer layer in contact with the environment and the inner layer of the facepiece in contact with the person's skin are made of non-woven polypropylene fiber (PP).
The outer layer of polypropylene provides a first coarse filtration of solid particles and aerosol droplets present in the air, up to a size of 0.5 microns.
The intermediate layers are instead made up of a layer of activated carbon filter material that serves to retain fine dust up to PM 2.5 and two layers of cotton with different characteristics .
